Time to pack up!

Well what a few days it has been! Over the course of the last week we have sold my little car, packed our 4 bedroom home into a container and transferred our lives into the caravan.

The arrival of the container on Thursday marked the start of the big pack up. After weeks of rain we were blessed with some dry weather for packing the container. It turns out that a 20ft container won’t actually fit on our driveway but thankfully some very lovely neighbours over they road allowed us to have it dropped on their driveway for 24 hours. Many trips across the road with boxes later, we finally had the contents of our home locked away safely in a shipping container which will happily sit in a a storage yard somewhere for the next year! Crazy. Only one minor incident where we took a corner with the trolley too fast and the washing machine fell on the floor but other than that, everything made it to the container in one piece! It was a little bit like a massive game of Tetris!

One lonely fridge
24 hours later!

So here we are… down at Narrabeen camp site to settle ourselves into life in a van! So many things to feel thankful for. The amazing community around us who have supported us to make this real and our amazing family who have always been there with words of encouragement! I am sure there will be many mixed emotions and challenges ahead but for now… time to enjoy our first sunset in the van looking over the very beautiful Narrabeen
